KKARACHI —The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) extended losses on Friday amid selling pressure in the market. During intraday trading, the KSE-100 index fell 703.71 points, or 0.42%. The index stood at 167,933.14 points when trading was suspended due to the Friday prayer break.
It had opened from the previous close of 168,636.85 points. During the session, the KSE-100 reached an intraday high of 168,854.46 points and a low of 167,685.42 points. Trading volume stood at 67.51 million shares at the time of the suspension.
A day earlier, the KSE-100 Index also closed lower, losing 1,332.47 points, or 0.78%, to settle at 168,636.85 points compared with 169,969.33 points in the previous trading session. The ready market recorded trading volume of 548.380 million shares on Thursday, down from 591.234 million shares in the preceding session.

Traded value also declined to Rs17.053 billion from Rs20.191 billion. Market capitalisation decreased to Rs18.776 trillion from Rs18.927 trillion a day earlier.
