The announcement carried the message “Welcome baby girl” along with the birth date, September 19, 2026. The couple signed the post as “Dua, Deepika and Ranveer” and included an evil-eye emoji. Their first daughter, Dua, was born on September 8, 2024, and has now become a big sister.
The couple’s friends and colleagues from the Indian film industry quickly congratulated them following the announcement. Actress Kriti Sanon congratulated the couple and celebrated Dua’s new role as a big sister, while singer Shreya Ghoshal also extended her wishes.
Actor Angad Bedi joined the celebrations with a blessing for the newborn. Deepika and Ranveer first met while working on the 2013 film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. After dating for several years, the pair married on November 14, 2018.
