Pakistan's trade deficit reaches $10.8 billion in first quarter

The statistics showed that the trade gap also increased by 6% in September 2026 compared with September 2025. On a month-on-month basis, the deficit in September was around 8% higher than in August 2026. Exports recorded notable growth during the period.
In September 2026, exports were 17% higher than in the same month of the previous year. Compared with August 2026, exports increased by 16%, while imports rose by 11%., Pakistan’s exports stood at $2.93 billion in September 2026, while imports reached **$6.49 billion**.
Exports increased by around $400 million compared with August. The report noted that the exchange value used for exports and imports was approximately Rs278 per US dollar. Meanwhile, data for July and August showed growth in trade in services.

Exports of services increased by around 29% during the two-month period, while imports of services registered growth of 9.7%.
