LLAHORE —Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said providing opportunities to young people remains the government's top priority, stressing that the country's future development depends on their active role.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Healthtrix American Centre of Excellence in Lahore, Naqvi described his participation in the event as an honour and highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for young professionals and businesses.

Naqvi said the government had extended substantial support to the information technology sector, adding that facilitating businesses and providing entrepreneurs with better opportunities were among the government's key responsibilities. "The younger generation is our greatest priority, and providing opportunities to young people is the government's foremost responsibility," he said. The interior minister said young people would have to play a leading role in taking Pakistan forward, adding that the government had extended support to the IT industry and the sector's exports had also increased.

He expressed hope that Pakistani entrepreneurs and business leaders would follow the example of international investors by investing in the country and establishing new business ventures. Naqvi said greater investment and new business initiatives could help create opportunities for young people and contribute to economic development.
