In the video, Shehbaz Sharif described India’s action as external aggression and credited Pakistan’s military leadership for the country’s response. He also thanked Trump for what he called his “timely intervention” in helping bring the conflict to an end.
Trump shared an 87-second clip of the Pakistani prime minister’s UN speech on his Truth Social account on Friday, without adding a separate comment,. During his UN General Assembly address earlier this week, Trump had also highlighted his claimed role in helping end the Pakistan-India confrontation and referred positively to Shehbaz Sharif.
India has disputed the account of third-party intervention in the 2025 conflict. Indian officials have also publicly responded to Shehbaz Sharif’s latest UN remarks, including his references to Kashmir and the India-Pakistan confrontation.

The development comes as Pakistan continues to present its position on the 2025 conflict and Kashmir at the UN, while India has rejected key elements of Islamabad’s account.
