The cargo train was travelling from Yousafwala to Karachi when it broke down, causing the movement of trains on the down track to be suspended. The incident disrupted rail traffic in the area and raised concerns about delays to other trains using the route.

Senior railway officials promptly reached the site after receiving information about the incident. They supervised relief operations and coordinated efforts to restore the damaged train and clear the track. Employees of the Railway Carriage Department worked continuously for nearly two hours to resolve the problem.
