Rizwan was summoned under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure through a second notice seeking his cooperation in the forensic examination of the seized device., a four-member NCCIA investigation team questioned Rizwan. The team comprises a deputy director and three inspectors.

He has said the device was taken from him in England on August 31 during Pakistan’s Test tour and that he provided its password to officials.
He also said the phone was examined in his presence., officials had access to his unlocked phone when he appeared before the NCCIA on September 10, allowing them to review messages and other material.

The agency has contacted Rizwan several times seeking cooperation, while sources close to the cricketer said he had been seeking clarity on the proceedings and consulting his lawyer. The inquiry reportedly concerns allegations related to online betting, gambling and the leaking of team information.
