The ban will remain in place until further notice. Sindh Home Department, all licensing authorities across Sindh have been directed not to issue new arms licences. The decision applies province-wide and will remain effective until further orders.
The provincial government has also halted the issuance of new arms dealership licences. Under the directive, no new licences for arms dealers will be granted during the ban. The Home Department clarified that arms licences may still be issued in exceptional and special circumstances.
However, such cases will require prior approval from the competent authority before any licence can be granted.
