The former municipal committee chairman sustained multiple bullet wounds and died at the scene. Eyewitnesses said the victim's vehicle was riddled with bullets during the attack. The assailants fled the scene after the shooting while brandishing their weapons.
Police reached the site after being informed of the incident and collected evidence as part of the initial investigation. A search operation has also been launched to trace the assailants. The motive for the attack and the identities of the assailants have not yet been established.
