KKARACHI —Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved a summary seeking an extension in the term of the judicial commission formed to investigate the Mir Raza case., the chief minister has approved the summary, while final approval for the extension is still subject to ratification by the Sindh Cabinet.
Sources said a notification extending the commission’s term could be issued today or tomorrow after the Sindh Cabinet gives its approval. The Home Department sources said the process for extending the commission’s term is underway and the commission will continue its proceedings during the process.
Meanwhile, the registrar of the judicial commission said that the commission had not yet received a notification regarding the extension of its term., the judicial commission was initially formed for one month and its term expired on September 27. The extension requires approval from both the Sindh Cabinet and the chief minister.
