The inbound Jaffar Express from Peshawar has also been restricted to Jacobabad on Saturday, instead of continuing to Quetta. The suspension and curtailment of the service have caused inconvenience to passengers travelling to and from Quetta, particularly those relying on the train for intercity travel.
The disruption comes amid a prolonged suspension of other rail services connecting Balochistan with neighbouring areas. The Bolan Mail, which operates between Balochistan and Karachi, and the Chaman Passenger service have remained suspended for around six months.
