BBUNER —Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar urged the Punjab government to refrain from harassing and arresting PTI workers, saying the party was taking to the streets to protect democracy and the country.
In a statement, Barrister Gohar said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi would lead a peaceful street movement in accordance with the Constitution and law. He urged the Punjab government, particularly Rana Sanaullah, not to create obstacles in the chief minister’s way.
He also called on the Punjab government to avoid harassing and arresting PTI workers, saying reconciliation and constructive steps were needed to reduce political tensions. The PTI chairman demanded that permission be granted for a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan and his family.

Barrister Gohar said there should be no firing and that “the time for bullets should end.” He said PTI workers were coming to Islamabad to seek justice and would reach the capital peacefully. He added that respecting differences of opinion was part of democracy and urged the government to move towards reconciliation instead of taking strict measures.
