IHC issues detailed order on petition against PTI's September 27 long march

The court said any violation of the fundamental rights of Islamabad residents would amount to a constitutional violation, and those responsible would face legal action in accordance with the law. The order stated that no political party had any lawful right to block roads and highways.

Provincial governments were directed not to use public resources or funds for the Islamabad march, while the use of official vehicles and machinery to facilitate the long march was prohibited.

The court also directed authorities to establish an immediate helpline for government employees who receive unlawful orders or are pressured to participate in a march, procession or rally., action would be taken against those who violate court directives or infringe upon citizens’ rights.

It further stated that a public office holder who violates the Constitution or law would be considered to have breached their oath of office. The court said if the fundamental rights of citizens are affected because of the actions of a public official, it would also be considered a violation of the official’s oath.

The order further stated that government officials responsible for violating the Constitution and law would have to face the consequences in accordance with the law.
