Justice Abher Gul Khan disposed of a petition concerning her detention filed by her son, Shahrez Khan, after receiving the government’s report, while the petitioner’s separate request seeking permission to meet Aleema was referred to the home secretary for a decision in accordance with law.
Assistant Advocate General Farrukh Khan Lodhi presented a report submitted by the superintendent of Kot Lakhpat jail. The report stated that Aleema had been provided a blanket, bedsheet, six suits, shoes and a towel. She was also given face wash, a toothbrush, a skincare kit and a shawl.
Imran's three sisters were detained under Section 3 (Power to arrest and detain suspected persons) of the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance 1960 in Lahore ahead of the party’s planned September 27 march towards Islamabad. Aleema was taken into custody on.

It further said the detainee had also been provided with face wash, toothbrush, skincare kit and shawl.
The petitioner’s request seeking permission to meet Aleema was referred to the home secretary for a decision in accordance with law. A week ago, Aleema was detained after the Lahore deputy commissioner ordered her detention under the Punjab MPO Ordinance.
Her detention came amid reports of a crackdown on PTI ahead of its planned countrywide protest and march towards Islamabad scheduled for September 27.
The party later postponed the protest to October 4., the long march to the federal capital has been planned to demand Imran’s release from jail as well as mobilisation of people for the supremacy of the Constitution.
During the previous court hearing on September 26 contesting the detention of Aleema, the petitioner's counsel Rana Mudassar Umar had was experiencing difficulties in receiving her medicines and other essential items while in jail. In response, the court had directed the legal counsel to submit a separate application seeking provision of the said items, which was duly filed.
Today, the application was disposed of after the government assured the court of the provision of basic facilities to the detainee.
