IISLAMABAD —The federal government has revised the prices of petrol and diesel, with the latest adjustment bringing a Rs4.61 increase in petrol and a Rs1.96 reduction in diesel. The revised rates are set for September 22 (Tuesday), -price information.
OGRA maintains official petroleum price notifications and related price publications for the country. Under the revised rates, petrol will be sold at Rs393.75 per litre, following an increase of Rs4.61. The increase takes the price of petrol further above the previous level as motorists face higher costs at fuel stations from September 22.
Diesel, meanwhile, has moved in the opposite direction. Its price has been reduced by Rs1.96 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs422.08 per litre. The adjustment means the gap between the prices of petrol and diesel has narrowed slightly, although diesel remains more expensive per litre.
