ATC sets Oct 6 for indictment of Imaan Mazari, Hadi Chattha in police violence case

The case was heard by ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Supra, with Mazari and Chattha appearing through video link. During the hearing, lawyers Riasat Ali and Zainab appeared before the court. Copies of the challan in the case were also provided to the defence lawyers.
The court announced that charges would be framed against the two accused at the next hearing and adjourned the proceedings until October 6. A case against Mazari and Chattha has been registered at the Secretariat Police Station.
Meanwhile, another ATC issued notices on the couple’s bail petitions in a separate protest case registered at Kohsar Police Station. ATC Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the bail applications and directed the parties to appear for arguments on October 5.

During the hearing, former federal minister Shireen Mazari claimed that Imaan Mazari and Hadi Chattha had been produced before the court after it was opened at night.
Judge Zulqarnain clarified that the court had not been opened specifically at night, saying it had already been carrying out its work when he was informed that a remand matter was being brought before him.
