“If the Mecca Alliance means anything, then Turkiye and Pakistan must work with Saudi Arabia to destroy the foreign Houthi terrorists and liberate Yemen from Iran,” he added. Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, has said Pakistan declares its full support for Saudi Arabia’s defensive measures against Houthi attacks.

Pakistani delegate Asim Iftikhar, while addressing the United Nations Security Council meeting on the situation in Yemen, condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and expressed concern over the situation in Yemen. He said that Pakistan supports the sovereignty and security of Saudi Arabia, adding that attacks in Bab al-Mandab will affect the world economy.
On the other hand, the Yemeni delegate called on the international community to take steps to stop the supply of weapons to the Houthis, and described the Houthis' aggressive actions as a serious threat to regional security.
