Sohail Afridi deliberately sat in police van to stage 'arrest drama': Punjab minister

“Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has denied that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was arrested by police, claiming that he deliberately sat in a police van in what she described…”
He himself sat in the police vehicle. This was not an arrest, but a total drama.”The provincial minister alleged that the KP chief minister repeatedly argued with police officials, who, she claimed, continued to provide him protocol despite his alleged rude and abusive behaviour., Afridi remained seated in the police van, smiling and insisting that he would not get out.
She further claimed that a person associated with his social media team was recording the incident. Bokhari said the van driver moved the vehicle after sensing that people were beginning to attack it, but the vehicle was stopped after travelling some distance.
“If the KP chief minister had been arrested, there would have been police officers inside the van,” she said. The Punjab information minister also criticised PTI leaders, accusing them of staging political dramas. She said Afridi was currently in Lahore, describing the city as peaceful and claiming that he was able to move around without police.
