Addressing a press conference at the Islamabad Press Club on Tuesday, Vawda said the decision to impose an emergency in KP was in the interest of the province’s people. He criticised the provincial government, claiming that a particular mindset had remained in power in KP for 13 years and had brought widespread destruction to the province.
“Khyber Pakhtunkhwa belongs to its people; it is not anyone’s personal property,” Vawda said. He added that security personnel were sacrificing their lives in terrorist attacks and said such sacrifices could not be allowed to continue while those in power acted arbitrarily.
