    Directed by Bilal Lashari and featuring leading Pakistani actors Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and Hamza Ali, "the film is a landmark production of contemporary Pakistani cinema and received international acclaim," a press statement issued by the Pakistan High Commission in Singapore said on Thursday.

    Set against the rich cultural backdrop of Punjab, the film explores universal themes of honour, courage, loyalty, justice and rivalry, while showcasing Pakistan’s cultural heritage, storytelling traditions, music, costumes and cinematic talent. Welcoming the guests, High Commissioner Rabia Shafiq highlighted the importance of cinema as a powerful instrument of cultural diplomacy and people-to-people understanding.

    She noted that films provide an effective and engaging way for countries to share their heritage, traditions and contemporary identity with international audiences. The high commissioner remarked that. The Legend of Maula Jattpresents a distinctly Pakistani story through a modern cinematic approach and has attracted audiences well beyond Pakistan.
