Rizwan, Imam to miss President's Trophy

“Pakistan batters Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan face further uncertainty after being denied permission to play in the domestic President’s Trophy Grade-I for failing to submit mandatory fitness-test …”
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) requires players to provide fitness-test reports before featuring in first-class cricket, but the documents for Imam and Rizwan have not been received from their respective departments. The President’s Trophy begins Saturday in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Abbottabad and Peshawar.
Imam was due to captain OGDC against PTV, while Rizwan was scheduled to lead Sui Gas in the absence of Shan Masood. The development comes as both players are also facing an inquiry, adding to concerns over their immediate futures.
The PCB has made it mandatory for centrally contracted players to appear in at least five domestic matches, potentially making it difficult for Imam and Rizwan to retain their central contracts if they are unable to meet the requirement.
