IISLAMABAD —The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has established an Election Monitoring and Control Centre (EMCC) to receive and promptly address public complaints during the September 27 by-election in Bahawalpur’s NA-168 constituency, Punjab, with trained staff deployed at federal, provincial, divisional and district levels to monitor the electoral process and act on complaints until results are received.
The ECP said that the EMCC would facilitate voters and other members of the public seeking to report election related complaints and would remain operational continuously from polling day until the completion of result transmission.
The commission has established a four tier complaint and monitoring mechanism comprising control rooms at the ECP Secretariat in Islamabad as well as at provincial, divisional and district levels. Members of the public can lodge complaints with the EMCC through email at complaints@ecp.gov.pk or contact its dedicated helpline at 051-111-327-000.

Complaints can also be submitted through fax at 051-920-4404, the ECP said.
The commission added that the control centre had also been equipped to monitor social and electronic media as part of its election monitoring arrangements., the EMCC will continue receiving complaints from Friday, September 26, through polling day on September 27 and until the results of the by-election are received
