LLAHORE —Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that Pakistan today is strong and its defence is invincible. In a message on Defence Day and in memory of the martyrs of Pakistan, she said the Pakistan Army had proved that wars were not won with weapons alone, but with faith and conviction.
The Punjab chief minister paid tribute to the officers, soldiers, martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Army, saying the nation continued to pray for the safety of its troops fighting the war against terrorism. Maryam Nawaz also said the army had set new standards of professionalism during Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, adding that the defence of the country was now invincible.
