The minister announced a rally in Sohrab Goth on September 27. Talking to the media here on Sunday, the MQM leader Mustafa Kamal expressed serious concern over the situation of water, sewage, transport and basic amenities in the City, saying he provided water to the people of Lyari.
He questioned the use of resources in Sindh, saying that Sindh could have been developed 50 times with Rs22,000billion, but the people were still deprived of basic facilities. He alleged villas were being built in Dubai with public money.
The federal minister said the current system has been disappointing people for the last 70 years and rulers are pitting people against each other. Mustafa Kamal, while discussing the administrative structure, said that Lahore is one district while Karachi has been divided into seven districts.
"Stay connected with Aman-e-Pakistan for ongoing live reporting and verified investigative updates."
He clarified that his party is not opposing the demand for new administrative units but supporting it. He appealed to activists and citizens to become part of the movement, saying, "Don't vote for us, just support us in this movement.
" People must unite and raise their voices to the government to achieve their rights. He said today the MQM is not just a party of a specific area but represents the entire Karachi, including Sohrab Goth, Lyari, Katti Pahari, Liaquatabad and Orangi.
Mustafa Kamal announced that a rally of Pashtuns will be held in Sohrab Goth on September 27. After the rallies in Karachi and Hyderabad, a rally will also be held in Larkana, he added.
