The actress appeared to post the quote on Monday, October 26, which read: “If kids disrespect their moms, the root cause often traces back to the relationship with the father.”The post quickly attracted attention, with some social media users speculating that it was directed at Martinez amid the former couple’s legal dispute over their 13-year-old son, Maceo.
However, the quote was reportedly not shared by Berry herself., a source said the actress’s social media account had been hacked and that the post was not hers. The source added that an investigation was underway to determine how it appeared on her account.
The post was subsequently deleted. Berry did not offer any further context, and her representatives have not publicly commented on the report. The incident comes amid a contentious custody dispute between Berry and Martinez, who were married in 2013 and finalised their divorce in 2023 with a shared custody agreement.

Earlier this month, Martinez obtained a temporary restraining order against Berry after accusing the actress of physically abusing their son during an alleged incident at her home on September 26. He has also sought sole custody of Maceo.
