IISLAMABAD —Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a source of guidance and mercy for all humanity, stressing that there is a greater need today than ever to follow his teachings and exemplary life.
Addressing a Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) ceremony in Islamabad, Attaullah Tarar said Allah Almighty had described the status and stature of His beloved Prophet (PBUH) in the Holy Quran.
He said the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was the reason for the creation of the universe, the Mercy for all the worlds and the final Prophet, sent as a source of mercy for all human beings and all worlds.

The federal minister said the Holy Quran was also among the great miracles bestowed upon the Holy Prophet (PBUH), while his teachings continued to serve as a lasting source of guidance for all humanity.
Atta Tarar said the personality and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had also inspired non-Muslims, with writers belonging to different religions having written prose and poetry in praise of him. Referring to verses by a Sikh poet from the subcontinent, he said love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was not limited to any particular religion or group.
He said it was extremely important to seek guidance from the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to address the challenges faced by society in the present era. He stressed that people should make the Prophet’s exemplary life part of their daily lives to promote brotherhood, tolerance, justice and the spirit of humanity in society.
