Three cops martyred in Tank attack

The Tank police said the attackers fled after the assault, taking the police vehicle and weapons with them., the deceased were identified as Pir Khalid, Warden Gul Amin and Warden Saleemullah. Police have launched a search operation to trace the attackers.
In Lakki Marwat, police said the slain terrorist was identified as Manzoor, a resident of Abdul Khel. They said he was wanted by CTD Bannu in cases registered between December 2024 and September 2026, involving attacks on civilians and police, attempted murder, arson, robbery and other acts of terrorism.
The operation followed an attack a day earlier on players travelling in a rickshaw after a cricket match in Abdul Khel, in which three young men were killed and three others injured. After the attack, police mounted a search operation during which Manzoor was killed.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack on the traffic police vehicle in Tank and expressed grief over the martyrdom of the three personnel.
