Girls sweep top slots in BISE Abbottabad results

In Class 11, 29,492 out of 47,017 candidates passed, recording a success rate of 63 percent, while in Class 12, 38,818 out of 45,757 candidates passed, with a success rate of 79 per cent.

In the Pre-Engineering group, Uzki Qasim of Tameer-i-Wattan Abbottabad secured first position with 1,116 marks, Bilal Haider of International Islamic University Islamabad School, Mansehra Campus, stood second with 1,110 marks, and Um Ruman of The Peace Group of Colleges secured third position with 1,097 marks.

In Computer General Science, Fatiha Ahmed of The Peace Group Haripur secured first position with 1,137 marks, Zukhruf Alam of Tameer-i-Wattan Mansehra stood second with 1,124 marks, and Roman Arshad of Tameer-i-Wattan Mansehra secured third position with 1,123 marks.

In the Arts group, Maimoona of Jamiat-ul-Hasanat Girls School Mansehra secured first position with 1,091 marks, while Sehrish Bano of Government Model Girls School No. 1 Haripur stood second. Abdullah Zahid of Government Sarai Saleh School and Areeba Nawaz of Government Girls High School Tarangri Bala Mansehra jointly secured third position with 1,061 marks each.

Among female candidates, 14,979 out of 17,403 passed, recording a pass percentage of 86.36 per cent, while 15,909 of 21,493 male candidates passed, with a pass percentage of 74.84 per cent.

Among private candidates, 2,664 of 3,366 females passed, recording a pass percentage of 80.51 per cent, while 2,266 of 3,495 males passed, giving a pass percentage of 67.32 per cent. The Part-II result showed that 5,414 candidates secured A1, 8,257 A, 11,515 B, 8,196 C, 2,380 D and 56 E grades.

While in HSSC Part-I, 47,017 candidates appeared, of whom 29,492 passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 63.49 per cent. A total of 565 candidates remained absent. Commissioner Hazara Division Shahidullah Khan attended the results and prize distribution ceremony and congratulated the position holders, their parents and teachers.

He said the students' success reflected the hard work of their parents and teachers. Addressing the result-announcement gathering, BISE Abbottabad Chairman Inayatullah Waseem said it was an honour and privilege for him to serve the Board and work with students, teachers, educationists, parents and other stakeholders for the promotion of quality education and public service.

Congratulating successful candidates, particularly the position holders and high achievers, Waseem said their performance reflected their hard work, perseverance and dedication and was a source of pride for their parents, teachers and institutions.
