    IISLAMABAD The PML-N led federal government has increased petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) prices by Rs4.10 and Rs6.41 per litre, respectively, under the country’s newly introduced daily fuel pricing mechanism. The revised rates will take effect from September 16, with petrol now priced at Rs384.34 per litre and HSD at Rs415.83 per litre, the Petroleum Division.

    The latest increase comes amid volatility in international oil markets, with renewed tensions in the Middle East continuing to affect global energy flows.

    The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has also started publishing daily petroleum prices on its website as part of efforts to improve transparency and enable international oil price movements to be reflected more quickly in domestic rates.
