PPESHAWAR —Security forces have killed three terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,. The operation was carried out on the basis of intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the area, the sources said.
The sources identified the targeted individuals as members of Fitna al-Khawarij and said the operation was conducted as part of ongoing efforts under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision to counter militant activity in the province., security operations have contributed to efforts to disrupt militant networks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism from the province, the sources said, adding that operations against militants will continue. Earlier, security forces killed eight India-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation conducted in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security sources said on Sunday., the operation was launched after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants in the area.

Eight members of Fitna al-Khawarij were killed during the operation, including three key commanders. Security sources said a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, along with foreign currency, was recovered from the militants.
