Trump said thousands of people were killed in the terrorist attacks and stressed that the United States continues to fight terrorism with the same determination and commitment. The US president said the war against terrorism remains ongoing, arguing that Washington has no choice but to continue confronting terrorist threats to protect the country and its people.

Addressing Iran’s nuclear programme, Trump reiterated that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. He said Iran would never be permitted to obtain such weapons, stressing that the United States would remain firm on the issue.
