IISLAMABAD —Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has departed for Iran, where he is scheduled to hold meetings with the country’s senior leadership. During his meetings with Iranian officials, Naqvi is expected to discuss the overall regional situation, bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
Esmaeil Baghaei, Naqvi’s visit will focus on bilateral matters and follow-up on understandings previously reached between Pakistan and Iran at the leadership level. The visit comes amid continued diplomatic engagement between Pakistan and Iran, as well as developments involving the wider region.
Naqvi has previously visited Iran on several occasions, including a recent visit in August alongside Field Marshal Asim Munir, during which Pakistani and Iranian officials discussed regional tensions, the Iran-US conflict and efforts toward peace and stability.
