    “During the week ended on 2-Oct-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 15 million to US$ 21,453.7 million”, the central bank Thursday reported in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.

    Meanwhile, the foreign reserves held by commercial banks increased by $ 12 million to $ 5,343.7 million during the period under review, the breakup of forex reserves showed. Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves in the previous week ended on September 25, 2026, stood $ 26,770.9 million.

    Among them the State Bank of Pakistan held foreign exchange reserves of $ 21,439.2 million while commercial banks held the other $ 5,331.7 million.
