Petrol price cut by 14 paisa, diesel drops Rs1.89 per litre

The new rates will take effect from October 1, 2026. the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been reduced by 14 paisa per litre. Following the reduction, petrol will now cost Rs387.40 per litre.

The government has also cut the price of high-speed diesel by Rs1.89 per litre, bringing its new rate to Rs400.35 per litre. The Petroleum Division said the revised prices are linked to movements in international petrol and diesel prices., changes in global market rates, Platts prices, premiums and other associated costs were taken into account while determining the new prices.
