The price of petrol has been cut by Rs1.65 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs389.14. Meanwhile, high-speed diesel has been reduced by 88 paisas per litre, with its price now standing at Rs424.04.
The revised petroleum prices will remain applicable from September 19 to September 21, 2026, under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism. The Petroleum Division said domestic petroleum prices are linked to rates in the international market.
The latest revision takes into account changes in international petroleum prices, Platts rates, premiums and other costs associated with the pricing of petroleum products. These factors are incorporated into the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism when determining the rates applicable in Pakistan.
