Sheikh emphasised that his primary responsibility was to facilitate investors and create an environment in which businesses could operate and expand with greater ease. He highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, technology, energy, agriculture, healthcare, education and other areas.
He called Pakistan and the US two important nations with significant potential for deeper economic and commercial cooperation. The BOI minister informed Baker about his upcoming visit to New York next week to participate in the World Economic Forum's Sustainable Development Impact Meetings 2026 (SDIM26), being held from September 21-24.
He said the international forum would provide an opportunity to engage with global business leaders, present Pakistan's investment potential and explore avenues for enhanced international investment and economic cooperation. Natalie Baker appreciated efforts to promote investment and improve Pakistan's business environment.
