Addressing a ceremony, the minister said if treatment of children of politicians and government officials is made mandatory in government hospitals like PIMS, the health system can improve. Our children and yours should also go to the hospitals where the children of the poor go for treatment.
Unless our children also get treatment in those same hospitals, the health system will not be in order. Just talking about social justice will not achieve anything.
Unless health facilities are made equal for the poor and the rich, if we cannot provide the poor with a good life and treatment facilities in their neighborhood, then all our progress is meaningless,’ the minister commented.

Dr Musadik Malik said every poor person should have access to a clinic in their neighbourhood where they can get their parents and children treated. The death of 14 children at PIMS forces us to address the shortcomings of our health system.
