This led to speculation about the identity of her spouse and gave rise to various rumours online. Several social media pages subsequently claimed that Bano had married veteran actor Usman Peerzada and that Peerzada had divorced his wife, actress Samina Peerzada, to marry her.
Addressing the rumours during a television programme, Usman Peerzada categorically rejected the claims. Peerzada said that although social media users knew more about the platform than he did, he knew one thing for certain: he had only one wife.
He added that he prayed she would remain his wife for the next 50 years. The veteran actor questioned why people spread false information merely to generate money and clicks, saying he had no idea why his name had been linked with Humaira Bano.

Peerzada said the rumours had not personally affected him, but they had caused concern among his fans. He said he received several calls from multiple followers seeking clarification. He further revealed that he had spoken to Humaira Bano and her husband about the rumours, and they laughed about the claims.
Peerzada added that rumours about his divorce had surfaced several times in the past and such reports continued to circulate. Humaira Bano also rejected the claims during a video conference involving Usman Peerzada and actress Uzma Tahir.
The rumours originated after a You. Tube channel claimed that Bano had married her senior colleague Usman Peerzada and that he had divorced his first wife, Samina Peerzada, before marrying Bano. Both actors have now denied the claims, dismissing the reports as baseless rumours.
