IISLAMABAD —President Asif Ali Zardari returned home on Thursday after completing his private visit abroad, during which he spent more than a week in the United Kingdom. The president had left Pakistan on August 27 for a private visit.
He departed London for Pakistan on Wednesday after spending more than a week in the UK.Speaking briefly before his departure, President Zardari was asked about his health and said, “By the grace of Allah, I am well.” Asked about his stay in London, he said he had “a good time” there.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Tipu Usman, saw the president off at the airport., President Zardari underwent several medical examinations during his stay in London. However, he did not participate in any political activities during his visit.

The trip marked President Zardari’s first visit to the United Kingdom in nearly six years. During his stay, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari also travelled to London on several occasions to meet the president.
President Zardari’s visit took place amid a period of heightened political activity in Pakistan, although his engagements in the UK remained largely private and focused on personal and health-related matters.
