In his response, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured that all constitutional requirements and procedures would be observed while making the new appointments to the ECP.Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai held a meeting with Senate Opposition Leader Raja Nasir Abbas. During the meeting, Achakzai briefed Raja Nasir Abbas on the contents of the prime minister’s letter.
The two leaders also agreed to share the development with other opposition leaders and discuss the matter further.
