    LLAHORE Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026 question papers have been dispatched from Lahore to examination centres in Punjab under strict security arrangements ahead of the test scheduled for September 20. The test will be conducted by the University of Health Sciences (UHS).

    The question papers have been secured in sealed steel trunks and transported under the supervision of police and the relevant assistant commissioners. Senior UHS faculty members and other staff have also accompanied the examination papers.

    The papers will be deposited in the respective district treasury offices for secure custody. UHS Vice Chancellor Major General (retd) Sohail Sabir, Professor Nadia Nasim and Controller Examinations Dr Muhammad Abbas saw off the examination staff assigned to transport the papers.

    Senior UHS faculty members and officers have been designated as couriers for conducting the test, while vice chancellors and pro-vice chancellors of medical universities have been appointed as regional in-charges for monitoring and arrangements. Principals of medical and dental colleges have been designated as centre in-charges to oversee arrangements and monitoring at examination centres.

    Officers of the Specialised Healthcare Department will also monitor the examination. A control room has been established at UHS for coordination and round-the-clock monitoring before and during the examination. A helpline has also been set up to maintain continuous contact with examination centres.

    Training for supervisory staff will be conducted at the relevant examination centres on Saturday. The MDCAT will be held on September 20 at 31 examination centres across 15 cities in Punjab, with more than 49,000 candidates expected to appear.

    Twelve departments in each district have been assigned responsibilities for MDCAT arrangements. District administrations, under the supervision of deputy commissioners, will ensure security and other arrangements for the examination.
