    The National Emergency Operations Center for Polio Eradication (NEOC) confirmed that the affected child is a seven-year-old boy from Union Council Ghundi-A in Tehsil Jamrud. The Pakistan Polio Eradication Initiative has launched an investigation into the case.

    Authorities are also planning additional measures to reach and protect children, including vaccination campaigns using both oral and injectable polio vaccines for older children, while strengthening routine immunisation.
