    Warner Bros. Discovery, Maxine Productions, Sony Pictures Television and producers Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz were named as defendants. Schneider argued that the documentary defamed him by allegedly implying that he sexually abused children through its use of footage, images and testimonies involving him alongside convicted child abusers Brian Peck and Jason Handy, who worked on Nickelodeon shows.

    However, California's Second District Court of Appeal ruled that the material presented in the three-and-a-half-hour documentary could not reasonably support the alleged implication that Schneider was a child sexual predator. The ruling reversed an earlier decision that had allowed Schneider’s case to proceed, resulting in the lawsuit being dismissed.
