IISLAMABAD —Salman Sharif, Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Germany, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday. The DPM congratulated him on his appointment and underscored the importance of further deepening Pakistan–Germany relations, particularly by expanding economic cooperation and promoting trade and investment.
He also emphasized that close engagement with the Pakistani diaspora in Germany, support for their welfare, and the provision of efficient consular services must remain key priorities for the Embassy. Dar appreciated Salman Sharif’s work in his last assignment as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office and wished him every success in his new assignment.
