President’s Trophy Grade-II starts tomorrow

Both the events are set to commence from Saturday, 19 September across Karachi, Islamabad, Haripur, Muridke, Lahore and Sheikhupura. The two tournaments will comprise of no-first-class three-day matches with the final of both to be played across four days.
The winner of Gold tournament will qualify for next season’s President’s Trophy Grade-I, while the bottom two teams of Gold will be relegated to Silver tournament. The finalists of the Silver tournament will next year play in the Gold event.
President’s Trophy Grade-II – GoldA total of 10 teams will take part in the Gold tournament and they will be divided into two groups of five. Vital Tea, Port Qasim, PHA Rawalpindi, Railways and Income Tax will be in Group A.

The Group B consists of Kingsmen, Eshaal Associates, JDW Sugar Mills, National Bank of Pakistan and Haider Cricket Club. Group A matches will be played at National Cricket Ground, Islamabad and Railway Stadium in Haripur, while Group B fixtures are scheduled in Karachi’s UBL Sports Complex and SBP Sports Complex.
All matches taking place at National Ground in Islamabad and SBP Sports Complex Karachi will be live-streamed. Each team will play four matches in their respective group before the top two advance to the semi-finals from 10 to 13 October followed by the final starting on 16.
President’s Trophy Grade-II – Silver. University of Punjab and University of Central Punjab will join Service Industries, ZM Electronics, SASA Packaging and Sports Board Punjab for President’s Trophy Grade-II Silver tournament marking the return of University back into competitive cricket fold.
Each team will play five matches before the top four qualify for the semi-finals. The final will begin on 15 October. The league stage matches will be played at Rana Naveed Cricket Academy, Sheikhupura, Lahore Country Club Muridke and Ittefaq Cricket Ground, Lahore.
