In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said Netanyahu’s presence in Syrian territory constituted a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The ministry described the Israeli move as a clear breach of international law, stressing that actions that undermine the sovereignty of states and their territorial integrity are unacceptable.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, calling for respect for international law and the principles governing relations between states. The statement followed a visit by Netanyahu to an Israeli-occupied area of Syria on September 9.
