Samsung unexpectedly expands One UI 9 Beta to Galaxy S24 Series

The company also released a One UI 9 beta update for the Galaxy S25 lineup. Now, in a surprise move, Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 9 beta to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The beta update is currently available in the US, India, and South Korea. It weighs approximately 3.6GB and carries firmware versions ending in ZZHL, EZHK, or EZHL, depending on the device and market. Galaxy S24 FE Still Left Out.

While Samsung has now brought the beta to the main Galaxy S24 lineup, the Galaxy S24 FE has yet to receive the One UI 9 beta. This means Samsung's current One UI 9 beta rollout covers a growing number of flagship and premium Galaxy devices, while the S24 FE remains on the sidelines for now.

How to Join the One UI 9 Beta. Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra owners in the US, India, or South Korea can try One UI 9 by enrolling in Samsung's beta program through the Samsung Members app.

To check whether the beta is available, open Samsung Members on a supported device and look for the One UI 9 Beta program banner. If your device and region are eligible, you can enroll and download the beta update from the software update section.

As with any beta software, users should expect potential bugs, performance issues, or unfinished features. It is therefore advisable to back up important data before installing the update. Samsung's decision to bring One UI 9 to the Galaxy S24 series so soon after expanding the beta program suggests the company is moving quickly with its Android 17 rollout.

More Galaxy devices are expected to join the beta program as development progresses.
